Adversity Academy is seeking a skilled and experienced Government Contract Officer to join our team. The Government Contract Officer will be responsible for managing the procurement and administration of government contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the procurement process for government contracts, including solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, and award.
  2. Review and analyze contract requirements, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with government regulations and organizational policies.
  3. Prepare and negotiate contract agreements, modifications, and amendments with government agencies and vendors.
  4. Develop and maintain positive relationships with government agencies, vendors, and subcontractors to facilitate effective contract management.
  5. Monitor contract performance and deliverables, ensuring adherence to schedules, specifications, and quality standards.
  6. Coordinate with internal departments, including finance, legal, and program management, to support contract execution and administration.
  7. Prepare and maintain accurate contract documentation, records, and files in compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  8. Provide guidance and assistance to project teams and staff on contract-related matters, including interpretation of contract terms and resolution of contract issues.
  9. Conduct contract reviews and audits to identify risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  10. Stay updated on government procurement regulations, policies, and procedures, and ensure organizational compliance with changes and updates.
  11. Support proposal development and bid preparation for government contract opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teams as required.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, procurement, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPCM, CFCM) is preferred.
  2. Proven experience in government contract management, procurement, or related roles, with a thorough understanding of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and government contracting processes.
  3. Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in contract administration.
  5. Proficiency in contract management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  7. U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain government security clearance may be required for certain positions.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, procurement, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in contract management or procurement are advantageous.
